The 5^th technical meeting of SEETSOC took place at the premises of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University on November 9, 2011. Consortium members presented their current steps and discussed issues regarding the work packages and project deliverables.

The SEETSOC partners (UKIM/FEIT and MEPSO) from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia had the opportunity to initiate and organize a SEETSOC Workshop in the framework of the 7 MAKO CIGRE Conference (for details follow 2011.mako-cigre.org.mk/program.php). The biennial Conference is organized by MAKO CIGRE - the national CIGRÈ committee and supported by the power utilities (ELEM, MEPSO, EVN Macedonia), as well as the biggest companies in the electricity sector in Europe.

During the Conference, authors of 126 papers had the opportunity to present their papers on different topics. It is one of the biggest biennial evens with participants form several countries, coming both from the academic and industrial sector.

The regional SEETSOC Workshop aimed to disseminate the results of the SEETSOC partners and enable exchange of ideas and results with other Conference participants. The workshop was attended (in average) by 20 persons.

At the Workshop representatives of several SEETSOC partners (UB/ETF, NTUA, ASPETE, TUS, UKIM/FEIT and MEPSO) presented the results of their work. The Workshop consisted of three parts: presentation of the papers published in the WSEAS 2011 Corfu conference, posters of papers and other material of most recent results, and round table with SEETSOC partners and the other participants at the Workshop.
